In March this year, the Tianmen Tobacco Monopoly Bureau transferred the clue to the police. Tianmen City Public Security Bureau attached great importance to it and immediately set up a special class jointly with the Municipal Tobacco Monopoly Bureau to conduct an investigation.
After in-depth investigation, a large-scale criminal chain of illegally manufacturing and selling electronic cigarettes with counterfeit registered trademarks emerged.
The chain uses a residential building in Xiaoban Town, Tianmen as a counterfeiting place for electronic cigarettes, and uses the distribution center for electronic cigarette parts in Dongguan, Guangdong as the source of electronic cigarette raw materials. The finished products are received and sold, involving Hubei Tianmen, Guangdong Dongguan, and Shenzhen.
Destroy the Chain of Crime across the Board
As of September 18, a special class of personnel has been dispatched to Guangdong, Jiangxi, Tianjin and other places to capture and control all 23 criminal suspects who provide fake and inferior electronic cigarette parts, false trademarks, and trade in fake and inferior electronic cigarettes (they are still in isolation due to the epidemic situation). China), there have been many cases of fraudulent electronic cigarettes.
More than 1,500 semi-finished electronic cigarettes, more than 20,000 cigarette holders, and 6,400 finished electronic cigarettes were seized on the spot. A large number of other counterfeiting equipment and raw and auxiliary materials were also seized at the scene, and a number of counterfeiting personnel were controlled.
The Electronic Cigarette Market is Gradually Moving towards Regulation
Electronic cigarettes have exploded in popularity in recent years. In addition to the widely circulated propaganda by businesses such as "e-cigarettes help to quit smoking" and "small damage to the body", they also attract many minors to try because of their diverse tastes and low difficulty in smoking and purchasing. On October 1 this year, the "Mandatory National Standard for Electronic Cigarettes" will take full effect. The standard clearly stipulates that the characteristic flavor of the product should not show other flavors than tobacco, and clearly requires that "aerosol should contain nicotine", that is, it does not contain nicotine. E-cigarette products containing nicotine are not allowed to enter the market for sale.
This also means that all fruit-flavored electronic cigarettes will be removed from the shelves, and the national unified electronic cigarette transaction management platform will only provide national standard tobacco-flavored electronic cigarettes and smoking sets with child locks. "In the future, fruity, floral, sweet and other flavored electronic cigarettes that are attractive to young people will become a thing of the past. The electronic cigarette market is moving towards standardization."
