VTA Predicts Boom in U.S. Vaping Industry This Year

The Vape Technology Association (VTA) recently predicted that the e-cigarette industry will boom this year. Tony Abboud, executive director of the VTA, said that the VTA is working with lobby groups and relevant agencies to seek favorable policies to promote the development of the e-cigarette industry.

VTA executive director Tony Abboud told attendees his organization has been working diligently with two Washington, D.C.-based firms, lobby group West Front Strategies and public affairs agency FORA Partners to advance U.S. interests as With Republicans taking over the U.S. House of Representatives in 2023, the vaping industry will continue to grow. “We have a very specific agenda, some of which we’ve discussed (as an overview of what we’re pursuing),” he said. “We’ve done a lot of the groundwork.”

Craig Kalkut, a partner at West Front Strategies, said the vaping industry should feel “more comfortable and safer” in a divided Congress over the next two years (the leadership of the US Senate layer has not changed). However, the vaping industry has been under threat from both Democrats and Republicans due to concerns about vaping among teens. “We still need to work with both sides. We still may face problems and threats of over-regulation and poor legislation. But most importantly, we will have a more comfortable environment because Republicans control a House of Representatives,” Calcu special said.

Shimmy Stein, a partner at West Front Strategies, said that the change in the leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives may have a positive impact on the development of the U.S. e-cigarette industry. As the e-cigarette brand JUUL suffers setbacks in the U.S. market, the U.S. e-cigarette market is changing.

Juul became the focus of saving young people from vaping, and today, Juul is not the focus. The market consists of a more diverse group of companies with different technologies working on harm reduction.

Kalkut then added that the vaping industry now has the opportunity to change the conversation, especially with Democrats as well as Republican critics and skeptics, with an ever-expanding body of science showing the relative safety and great potential of next-generation vaping for harm reduction There are tobacco products. “It’s become more and more clear over the last few years,” he said. “I think once we prove that, once we show that we as an industry association are committed to tackling youth vaping, we have a real chance to change that narrative.
